Barbara has been dancing nearly all her life, with a strong background in classical ballet.   Following initial experiences with bellydance, Barbara danced with Ann Arbor's troupe Habibat al-Fen for a number of years before joining Unveiled Dance Company in 2007. 

 

Since then, she has continued her dance education with a number of respected teachers, and has become well-versed in the use of multiple props.  An award-winning performer,  Barbara most recently won the Grand Prize in the 2014 Dance for a Smile and 2015 Project Dignity bellydance competitions, both held in Dearborn.  In addition to her work with Tableau Cadre and Unveiled Bellydance, Barbara regularly performs as a soloist at restaurants, private parties, and other events.

 

From festivals to private gatherings, Barbara's dynamic stage presence and enthusiasm for the dance has mesmerized audiences at a wide variety of local and international events.
