Maya started her career in the entertainment industry as an actress while living in California.  She appeared on Beverly Hills 90210’s final season and had other small roles on various television shows before she was introduced to the art of Middle Eastern Dancing.

 

During a trip to Egypt, she met a local dancer who invited her to watch her perform on a cruise up the Nile River.  It was at that time she fell in love and has been dancing ever since.  She most notably has danced the nightclub scenes in Los Angeles and Detroit and has always been happiest dancing with the energy she gets from a live band.  She has also danced on MTV’s Shakedown, Colombia Pictures V.I.P and truTV’s Hardcore Pawn Detroit.
