Vive La Danse!  Melissa "Mylita" Benjamin is the living embodiment of this expression!  Living, learning and exploring dance has been a life-long passion for Mylita. Her teaching and performing style exude this love for the art.  She has taught and performed Tribal Fusion, Egyptian and Turkish styles of belly dance.  Both an improvisational dancer and proficient at choreography, Mylita is a seasoned professional.  She has also studied jazz, hip-hop, modern and theater.  Mylita loves props and performs sword, veil, wings, hoops and fire and is known for her flair in combining traditional styles with a modern twist, for her clean choreography and impeccable styling.  

 

In 2012 Mylita earned her Certification as a Goddess Life Burlesque Instructor, and has since been empowering and uplifting women with the fun and flirty art of burlesque. Mylita has been a featured act in the Michigan Burlesque Festival for the past two years.
